Str8 Forward is an innovative home hair straightening solution. Combining a Straightening Cream, a protein-packed Keratin solution and a Fixing Cream, Str8 Forward is a simple, step-by-step way to give you salon-straight hair that lasts up to 3 months.
Timing guide

Using the clips, section your hair into 3 parts and apply the Fixing Cream to each section from root to tip. Use your fingers and a comb to rub and smooth the solution into your hair. You need to make sure the Fixing Cream has saturated every hair.
Leave the cream to develop for 10 minutes before rinsing.
Although your hair will now be straight you need to complete the process by drying and styling, giving it a quick ironing to seal. Blow dry your hair as usual (using a round brush if desired). Finally, take your straightening irons and run them over your hair. This stage is simply sealing the hair and finishing the process. During this stage you can iron in any way you choose, but don’t flick or try to curl your hair as this could permanently alter your new straight result.
Result will last for an average of 3 months however it depends entirely on your hair’s length. Longer hair may find the straight sleek pattern lasts beyond 3 months, whilst it is common for very short hair to revert to previous texture after 6 weeks.
This is good stuff I used this kit nearly 2 weeks ago now and my hair is still frizz and bulk free. All I need to do now is wash and blast dry my hair and it looks perfect it used to take me ages to dry and style too! Would def recommend and will use again. I even had some of the keratin cream left and used it as a regular conditioner a week later. My hair still feels soft too!
My hair is thick, curly and frizzy at the ends. I have had it straightened in the salon before but it’s a bit expensive.
it took a couple of hours altogether, however the results were worth it, i no longer have time consuming daily procedures to make my hair look decent and i can go out in the rain without fear of turning into crystal tips!! i will definitely use it again. I also, not having to put loads of straightening balm or other products on ,meaning that my hair stays cleaner for longer, i used to have to wash it every other day, now i can leave it up to four days.
I normally have to blow dry and straighten my hair daily leading to a whole load of it laying on the floor when finished only for it to frizz whenever the weather is damp due to constant highlighting, when i saw this product at that price i thought “no way”, well……..yes way! It took a little over 3 hours to do the process but i now have lovely sleek shiny hair that i just roughly blow dry (no styling) then quickly run the straighteners over jus to curl the ends under and off i go and it doesn’t need washing for 3 days.
Everyone saying it doesn’t work on their afro hair or really curly hair? what are you expecting? miricals? for me it worked really well i have wavy hair apart from the smell which eventually washes away and the time it takes to apply its overall really good. The time it saves straightening my hair is amazing i now have an extra 30mins to do something better. It left my hair very shiny and am very pleased with the results.
I have curly mixed race hair and i had my doubts about this product at first. Now that i have used it i am 100% sold, my hair is straight and silky and does not revert back to curls and frizz even if i get too hot or if the weather gets too windy. It’s time consuming but totally worth it.
Here is my story! I have bushy, kinky hair which requires both blow-drying and ironing after every wash (which is highly time consuming and very boring). A male friend actually told me about this product as he was delighted with the results on his own hair, so I gave it a whirl. I was not expecting it to do too much but I have to say I am delighted with the results. If I just wash and leave my hair it sits straight and smooth and all the bulk has definitely been reduced. The only downside is the smell – it did have an eggy smell but that went after the first wash. It’s a small price to pay for having hair like everyone else that I can spend 10 minutes fast drying and then leave the house! I did use B4 U Colour prior to using this product as instructed and I have used that product again since – but see other review for that one.
I put this on my hair, I used to use the boots straighten but this has made my hair really straight, I only left it 2 days and asked my hairdresser when she cut it if it was ok to wash it and put a hair dye on.
It is lovely and straight all day, I do use my straightners on a morning and it stays straight all day, will be buying more when the 3 months are up.
Str8 Forward works by firstly breaking the internal bonds inside your hair – this phase leaves the hair open and able to accept both protein and a new shape. The part B Keratin phase then fills the hair with rich protein. With the new condition settled deep inside, the hair can then be straightened to create super smooth results. Finally the Part C Fixing cream reconnects those bonds creating that permanent ‘straight’ result.
There are 2 types of treatments: Super Straight works for very curly, non-colour-treated hair whilst the Extra Conditioning Treatment is designed for hair that has been colour treated, sensitive or generally dry.
Why am I not allowed to wash, get my hair wet or tie it back for three days after the treatment?
Because your hair will not be 100% permanently straight at the time of completion. It can take up to 72 hours for the bonds in the hair to fully reconnect and water can break them again.
If I get my hair wet is the process ruined?
No, just try and dry it as soon as possible and iron again. This usually prevents any problems.
I have woken up the day after my treatment with my hair all over the place. If I can’t wash it or wet it down, what can I do?
Just try running the irons through it again and you should be back on track.
How soon can I colour my hair after undergoing a Str8Forward treatment?
Wait 2 weeks before applying colour to your hair.
Can Str8 Forward be used on permed hair?
Yes it can, but check the condition of your hair. If your hair is colour treated or dry you should always use the Extra Conditioning variant.
Can Str8 Forward be used on Afro Caribbean hair?
No. Str8 Forward is not designed for use on Afro hair types, henna-treated hair, heavily bleached hair or hair treated with lye relaxers.
I have used Str8 Forward and it’s managed to get my very curly hair much straighter, but it still has waves and ripples in it. Why is this and what can I do to get it poker straight permanently?
On very curly it’s important to use a degree of tension during the Straightening Cream phase (Step 1) to smooth the hair into a straight pattern. If the hair is allowed to curl whilst the Straightening Cream is on the bonds will not break in a straight pattern, but rather into a wavy one. While it still removes the curl and bulk from your hair, there will still be obvious ripples throughout your hair.
The good news is that it’s still possible to get the hair straight. Wait 2 weeks and if the hair is in good enough condition apply Str8 Forward Extra Conditioning and repeat the process. Because the majority of your curl has been removed by the first treatment, you should get a 100% straight result.
