What does Colour Stop Do?
Colour Stop is a stabilising product that prevents your hair from changing after it has been coloured.
Peroxides and trace elements from colourants, lightening products and other chemicals can remain active in hair for up to 72 hours after a treatment and can continue to alter your hair colour. This is why recently coloured hair often takes on a warm, coppery hue and can start to feel dry and porous after initial washing. This is a result of these active trace chemicals, exposure to sun, water and even just the atmosphere.
Colour Stop not only counteracts this but also balances the hair’s natural pH level, keeping it at optimal health while also deterring colour from fading.
Use Colour Stop to:
- Stabilise newly applied (peroxide based) colours to ensure that hair retains the desired shade and condition
- Protect against sun damage and UV rays
- Prevent warm or copper hues appearing in dark or brunette shades
Colour Stop can also be used as colour buffer on damaged and porous hair prior to permanent colour application to prevent ‘colour grabbing’ and over development.
How to use
After removing colourant from your hair, apply a coin-sized dollop of Colour Stop into your palm and apply to towel-dried hair. Comb through and leave for 5 minutes to absorb. Rinse thoroughly and style as normal. Colour Stop can also be used as a leave-in sunscreen for your hair. Simply apply a coin-sized dollop to your hair, comb through and allow to dry naturally.
For a regular and effective clarifying and protection use B4 U Colour followed by Colour Stop. Leave Colour Stop in your hair to develop for 1 minute, rinse thoroughly and style as normal.
In cases where the hair has been damaged with heat appliances, bleaching, continual colouring and chemical texturing Colour Stop may be ineffective at preventing colour fade.
Reviews
Superb
This is the most amazing product, I first used the B4 u colour, then I dyed my hair straight after! I added the colour stop straight after that instead of the usual conditioner found in the hair dye box, and it was truly amazing, in retrospect it is a fab conditioner that goes that extra mile…I have used it once a week as stated on the box for the last three weeks and my hair colour is brilliant, no root glow (usually get that) only down side is the size of the bottle I have long hair and I dont have much left! I highly recommend this one and the B4 U colour.
